What is elastomeric coating and do I need it?
A flexible, high-build coating that stretches across hairline stucco cracks and seals the wall against wind-driven rain. It is worth it when your stucco shows widespread fine cracking; on sound surfaces quality acrylic does the job. We recommend honestly based on the wall, since we warranty the result either way.
Do you repair stucco before painting?
Always. Cracks, spalls, and hollow spots are repaired and texture-matched before any paint goes on. Painting over damaged stucco just decorates the problem while water keeps getting in.
Does painting require a permit?
Painting itself doesn't. Structural opening work does, such as enclosing a garage door or cutting a new window. We pull the permit as the licensed contractor of record, with the engineering to match.
Can you close up a window or door so it doesn't show?
Yes, we infill the opening with matching block or framing. We texture-match the stucco across the patch and paint the whole elevation. Done with a full repaint, the old opening disappears entirely.
Does the time of year matter for painting in Florida?
