We assess the array, roof, racking, and wiring. For new solar, we review your electric bill and roof orientation. The visit takes 30-45 minutes, with no obligation.

Within 3 business days you get the quote. It lists per-panel R&R, hardware replacement allowances, and the roof scope if combined. For new systems, it compares leasing versus financing.

Coordination and permits
We coordinate with your solar provider if the system is leased. We pull the permits as the licensed contractor of record.

Detach, store, reset
Panels come down labeled and stored protected. After the roof is complete, the array goes back up with new flashing at every mount.

The system is re-energized, verified producing, and the work passes final inspection, with paperwork delivered to you.

Frequently asked questions
Can you reroof around the panels without removing them?
No, and anyone who offers to should worry you. The roof under the array ages like the rest of the roof. Mounts must be re-flashed into the new system. Skipping the R&R leads to leaks at the penetrations later.
My panels are leased from a solar company. Can you still do the R&R?
Yes, in most cases. Lease agreements generally allow third-party R&R, or they define a process with the leasing company. We review your agreement and coordinate directly with them so you are not the go-between.
Will my solar system be down during the reroof?
Yes, from detach to recommissioning. Plan on the length of the roof job plus a day on each side. We sequence the work to keep that window as short as possible.
Who warranties the roof penetrations under the array?
We do, and that is the point of one contractor holding both scopes. The crew that installed the roof flashes every mount into the new roof system. There is no gap between the roofer's warranty and the solar company's.
Is leasing or financing better for new solar?
It depends on how long you will own the home. It also depends on whether you want the system on your side of the meter. Leasing means no upfront cost and predictable payments; financing builds toward ownership and its incentives. We run both against your actual bill in the consultation.
